Our mission
TORLAND is based on a deep connection to nature, similar to the forests and lakes that inspired our founder, Sascha. We believe fashion should be environmentally conscious.

Circular economy
Huge mountains of discarded European textiles are piling up in Africa, Asia and South America. To address this growing issue, we prioritize producing high-quality, durable clothing.
Repair service and recycling
Our TORLAND jeans are designed to last a long time and be easily recycled when their life cycle ends. In collaboration with two social sewing workshops in Vienna, we transform old jeans into attractive upcycled products.
We combine environmental awareness and responsible action with fair working conditions for everyone involved in the production of our jeans, as well as sustainable production.
Environmentally friendly washings
We use e-Flow technology, which replaces water with steam. This allows us to save up to 70 % water, reduce chemical use, and prevent polluted wastewater. At the same time, the denim fabric is protected and becomes more durable.
Fair wages and ethical business practices
Fair and ethical working conditions are important to us. To ensure these conditions are met, we regularly visit our manufacturers and hold discussions with their employees. Additionally, our GOTS certification requires adherence to ecological and social standards. These standards are regularly checked at the manufacturing companies and include minimum wages, social security and working time regulations, among other things.
We have created a special environmental and social statement for TORLAND to serve as a guideline for ethical business activities. In it, we have defined criteria for manufacturing our products and our social commitment.
Packaging and shipping
We prioritize environmentally friendly shipping solutions for our products. That's why we avoid plastic altogether and use sturdy paper shipping bags to package our jeans. These bags reduce paper waste by up to 80% and are easy to recycle. This ensures that our products and their packaging align with our holistic approach to sustainability at every step of the shipping process.
